Among the sister stars of the bull up in the skies Shadows dance and grow where the twin suns rise Where soon be ash they light a city hewn from stone In the eye of Taurus spins a world by us unknown Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink behind the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa. Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies But stranger still is Lost Carcosa. A guest of honor among a crowd of modest size In the Court of the Dragon, the guests shield their eyes Hidden faces covered by masks made of bone A sallow man in robes, who sits upon the throne Songs that the Hyades shall sing, Where flap the tatters of the King, Must die unheard in Dim Carcosa. Song of my soul, my voice is dead; Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed Shall dry and die in Lost Carcosa. The sisters, the stranger, the masquerade ball Dancing and feasting in costumes they call The stranger and sisters broke from the fray Under the sky, they were carried away The stranger, Cassilda, Camilla, conversed The simple request, the response it was terse, “We’ve shed our disguises, so now must you too” “Ladies I say that this face you see here is true”

Bacchanalia of the senses Surgery removed defenses A window opened to another plane Small procedure in the mind Perception’s threads start to unwind The subject surely feels no pain A new eye open from within A broken spirit lives again Dimension’s walls are wearing thin New life is ready to begin Mystery wrapped in gestation Subject’s mind in vegetation Yet the child grows within the womb Subject feels no labor pain No response comes from the brain The child rises from a living tomb A new eye open from within A broken spirit lives again Dimension’s walls are wearing thin New life is ready to begin Bacchanalia of the senses Her beauty removed defenses A window opened to another plane A child’s wild imagination Hidden times of recreation The subject disappeared into his brain A new eye open from within A broken spirit lives again Dimension’s walls are wearing thin New life is ready to begin

Heavy hangs the hand at the end of the wrist Like a pendulum swings and it's clenched in a fist Locked at home, high alone Half an empty glass waiting to spill Strongest is the magnet when trauma attracts Fragile is the shell held together with cracks Cold as stone, skin and bone Wasting breath and past, a grave to fill Locked at home, high alone Half an empty glass waiting to spill Sick and wasting, just a husk to slowly drain Tears and silence, overwhelmed by darkest pain Cure or poison, only difference is the dose Hard to measure with many nerves exposed Heavy swings the hand when it’s clenched in a fist Darkest when the pain’s the way you know you exist Cold as stone, skin and bone Know they can’t detect you when you’re perfectly still Locked at home, high alone Half an empty glass waiting to spill

Graven idol danced Still and cold at night In shadowed solitude The lake consumes the light Keep me safe from the water And at the highest moon The calm becomes a tide Arms of the granite groom Embraced leviathan bride Keep me safe from the water

Spark the engine over liquid graves The bones of those before are reefs within the depths If I could I would turn the tide to ash Run the ship aground, walk to shore No crew, no cargo, no heeding maritime codes Turn the ocean to oil and burn it away And so I sink below the waves Join the older bones long since kissed by death Sleep below the fiery waves

Bathing in the rain of the red cloud blooming in the field Plagued by an illness, one from which I’ll never heal The pounding drowning out the passing through the door Do dreams invent for me a devastated shore? Sung to slumber I’ll flee the waves that swallow the wasted coastal land The right hand path that leads away from ruined sand To trees where angels fall from the canopy on high They sing out verses of the end soon drawing nigh Sung to slumber It’s nearly over for all here. Beyond the Milky Way, there is Teloe. At Teloe, ivory bridges form bones The rivers, veins of liquid gold. They carry pleasure ships to paradise. Cytharion, the realm of seven suns, Fit to house only those divine, Tolerating only youth, beauty and pleasure. There, you will stay, hearing laughter and song Until your time ends, and you return to the stars. So through the ether, a dying planet spins below Endless deserts where once roaring rivers flowed A black sea growing from the center like a mouth A fading sun like a candle winking out Sung to slumber

Off the coast of Avalon, the Russian calls to Hell To raise the red right hand to ring the final bell Sow the seed of destruction Safely in the Bureau, the teacher holds the hand Grant the child the freewill, to be his own man Grow the seed of destruction When the crown is lit and placed upon his brow Will he crack the horns and thrown the sword down? Or reap the seed of destruction?

De la Poer was informed of ancestral misdeeds. Can’t ignore when the poison sprouts from the seeds. Subterranean slaughter in the family history Mr Black found a crack into the mystery Rats in the walls Hidden city down below aged, mouldy stone His bloodline sat upon a dark, corrupted throne Feral men did roam where modern eyes are blind De la Poer found his teeth in the neck of his own kind Rats in the walls
